I registered for the Shred Sisters Weekend – Strong Intermediate Program in Golden, BC and it was INCREDIBLE!Maggie, our instructor was so clear and supportive in all of her instructions and I so appreciated her ability to customize the experience to the individuals in our group.We practiced drops, jumps, turns, and climbs, and I know our entire group left feeling so much more confident in our riding skills. If you are wanting to improve your mountain biking riding and skills, I highly recommend Shred Sisters!

Just finished intermediate class with Tracey! Shred sisters is an amazing atmosphere to learn and grow in. I meet some great people and I highly recommend taking their classes. I will definitely be taking some more classes next summer....drops here I come!

Completed the weekday intermediate course. Over the course of 3 evening sessions, our instructor helped us build confidence on the trails! Would definitely recommend if you're looking to build a stronger foundation in mountain biking.

I moved to Canmore 2 years ago and with shred sisters courses I have gone from a beginner mountain biker to being able to ride blacks. I believe in foundation and building skills. It’s such a great progression from level to level. I now have confidence and a great foundation of skills to continue to build on and experience new and greater things ❤️

I had a private lesson with Jessica. She was awesome! Easy to understand with all the information, kind and fun. She pushed me enough but not to much for my comfort level. I really enjoyed this lesson!

Shred Sisters courses are always awesome! Just did the Jumps and Drops course after completing the Intermediate course earlier this season and both were rad. Suzanne was super knowledgeable and gave great instructions and tips. Highly recommend!

Intro to Fat Biking - Dec. 2022Audrey expertly led us (3 women all fairly new to fat biking) through a series of skills along trails that gave us opportunities to practice each skill and incorporate all her pro tips along the way. Fun, encouraging, and empowering. A great day out in the cold, embracing winter on bikes. Yay!

The course was awesome! Very well thought out, the skills were broken down through drills and then we put them to use on jumps/drops. Audrey, the instructor, was awesome, she gave everyone personalized tips and took videos to show everyone what they looked like. We worked on multiple jumps/jump lines and a couple drops. Highly recommend!

Alyssa was an outstanding instructor. I’m a decent rider and have improved over time by just riding with people who are stronger than I. But she gave me the knowledge and confidence to go beyond. She is brilliant at explaining and breaking things down. There is no need to hesitate. Just book your course.

Just wrapped up the beginner course with Anne Marie out of Calgary. Wow, incredibly valuable and precisely the kind of course I’ve been after. The intimate group setting allowed the instructor to focus on each of us closely so we could work on progress and correcting bad habits. There was a natural female community feel right away. I think that comes from the tone set by Anne Marie right away. She’s always smiling and supportive and genuinely so excited to be there right alongside us as a team. My confidence on my bike has definitely grown and I’ve left with a heck of a lot of technique-understanding and skills that I definitely didn’t have before (even as far as understanding the mechanics of my bike). These classes are jammed with a perfect mix of learning and immediately putting into practice. Lots of drills and riding time. So well worth it and I look forward to the next level of classes with SS!

Learned a lot of practical knowledge through weekly application of the skills. The group of women that I got to ride with was so much fun and our instructor was great. Enjoyed how it was low key technical and more about having fun riding bikes while learning the things to get you to ride better.

Such an incredible team of coaches and behind the scenes super stars. Our group was so supportive and wonderful and made our weekend in Revelstoke so much fun and adventurous! Robyn was the best coach and she knew the terrain and area so well!

Just completed the weekly intermediate course with coach Dayna. An amazing 5 weeks with a great group of gals. Dayna is a great coach - able to confidently demo what she is teaching us and give individual positive instruction in a group setting. She chose a variety of trails to highlight what we were learning each week. I love taking the Shred Sister courses. Each level builds on the previous level and has contributed to my confidence and passion for mountain biking.

The Experienced Beginner course was EPIC! I learned all the fundamental bike skills, gained confidence, and had a blast. Terrie (our amazing instructor) shared her abundance of knowledge, created a safe environment for us to ask questions, provided constructive feedback, and celebrated our successes. The format of the course was very effective. This course renewed my excitement for biking and empowered me to hit the trails. Thank you Terrie and Shred Sisters!

This was my first biking course ever, and our coach Alison was absolutely amazing. She was very thorough with her descriptions when teaching the skills, as well as provided a variety of options for people when out on the trail. The small group of six participants really made it a great learning environment and lots of feedback was provided to improve skill set. I am looking forward to taking the intermediate advanced course next year.

Mountain biking is a new sport for me. I decided that to over come some fears I have about biking, different terrain and features, I needed to learn more to become confident, comfortable and safe on my bike. I attend the Experienced Beginner course in Invermere.Lindsay, our instructor, was an amazing coach and super fun! She immediately made me feel comfortable and welcomed. The course was exactly what I needed and more! I already feel more confident and comfortable while riding. I highly recommend Shred Sisters for taking your riding skills, wherever your are, to the next level!

Totally new to mountain biking, a little (or more than a little) out of shape, and in no way feeling like I could conquer some of the trails, to say I was nervous when I got to my first class would be an understatement.But those nerves were quickly put to rest.Laura was a super fun, and skilled instructor who was always so encouraging and positive.The skills, knowledge and most importantly, confidence that I gained during the course has been invaluable. Every class was something new, complete with new challenges and new things to conquer. And conquer we did!I came away with new skills, a whole lot more confidence and a group of new friends! Highly recommend.

This was my first mountain bike course I have ever taken and I can't wait to sign up for another one next year with Shred Sisters. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient and provided specific feedback. I came away with so many new tools to improve my riding. I loved the opportunity to meet and ride with other women. This is the second course I have taken with Shred Sisters. I have learned so much and my biking has improved immensely. It was a super investment of money and time. I've taken 3 Shred Sister clinics so far, and I'll definitely take more. The instructors are skilled riders who are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge and helping other women improve on the bike. And I enjoy meeting other women at my same level with whom I can ride!

I signed up for Shred Sisters beginner course with the hopes of gaining the confidence to downhill bike but I have gotten so much more from it. Going back to basics and learning proper techniques has been incredibly beneficial for me (and my bike!) The foundation has been re-built giving me far more control. My confidence has skyrocketed I am overjoyed to take my new found skills to the trail.I would ABSOLUTELY sign up for another course through Shred Sisters. The group dynamic and overall fun atmosphere of learning with women was incredibly empowering! So happy I joined this biking community and that I was able to learn from Shred Sisters talented & knowledgeable instructors.

I cannot say enough good about this program. If you are a beginner, want to take your riding to the next level or simply hang out with a cool crew with a 100% guarantee your skills will improve without you even knowing it, take this course. There is no need to be intimidated. This course is designed by women, for woman and every bit of it has been broken down so you get everything out of this you could possibly want. I gained more confidence in the first three hours than I gained in my first year of riding.

I did an intermediate weekend course with Shred Sisters in Bragg Creek and it was a great consolidation of skills that you need for those true blue/soft black trails! I learned a couple of game changing skills and refined other techniques that I've been working on. The instruction was very clear and included tips on maintenance and safety. Also - so much fun! Strong Intermediate Level

Skill Level Description

Strong Intermediate: You have taken lessons before and can ride almost anywhere. All green and blue trails are ridden with a high level of confidence and you feel comfortable riding some black runs. You are familiar and at ease on a variety of terrain including roots, rocks, and technical trail features. You are looking to up your game and improve your style, getting more comfortable with steeper trails, doing jumps and drops, high speed cornering. Skills you want to learn: Wheelies, Jumps, Drops, Speed, Steeper Terrain

Example of trails you can ride: 727, Family guys, Race of Spade, Prospector, Kloosifier, Blue Trails on Mountain Shadows, Flowdown, Loggin Leftovers, Fifty Six Twenty , Tantrum south

Example of trails that will take your skills up a notch: Jean Guy on the Rock, No homers, Terminator, Rock the Flume, LSD, 3K, Cliff Side, Super Happy Fun, Sex on The Beach, UFC, UpperBoondocker, Hula Girl
