About Sarah Brunswick
If you had to describe your riding style in one word, what would it be—and why?
Smooth! (I polled my friends on this—apparently, I’m also “aggressive,” “calculated,” “awesome,” “controlled,” “fluid,” and “rad”… haha!)
What’s the best thing about mountain biking for you? What keeps you coming back for more?
The places my bike can take me! Chasing mountains is what brought me to Canada, and I love continuing to explore new terrain. I also love the physical and mental challenge, plus the incredible people I’ve met along the way. So many best things, haha!
Tell us about your teaching and coaching experience. (Focus on sports, but feel free to include others!)
I’ve mentored with MMBTS Wonder Women Wednesdays and Mighty Moose Mondays programs. Before that, I spent time overseas coaching soccer.
What’s a fun fact or quirky trait that makes you, you? (Any great stories to share?)
I’m originally from the Isle of Man!
What’s your all-time favorite trail—and what makes it special?
I don’t know about all-time, but my favorite local trail is Loamzilla—it’s got a bit of everything!
What’s your go-to post-ride drink? (Bonus: Any favorite post-ride snack?)
An ice-cold Bubly!
What do you hope your students take away from your coaching?
I hope they leave with confidence, excitement to practice new skills, and a sense of adventure—excited to see where mountain biking can take them!
Race Experience!
Sarah doesn’t just love riding—she pushes her limits on the race scene too! She took on the Trans Madeira, an epic multi-day enduro race, proving her skills and love for adventure on some of the most stunning trails in the world.
